I am a fan of Roy Exum’s, but “What Boys Like to Do,” are you kidding?
Junkets to Atlantic City were all the rage from Chattanooga’s Lovell field in the 1980’s and 90’s, and over half of the small plane’s seating were filled with women ready to hit the black jack table. The purpose was lawful gambling, not clandestine and dangerous back-rooms. For those that would state gambling is bad, remember we have a state lottery, and I saw you on the plane.
To classify gambling as a sport of men or boys is absurd. I am certain that my sisters and I could take Roy Exum in any game of chance, in a legal venue of course.
Contrary to Mr. Exum’s analogy of gambling being a sport of men, I would dare to say that women would generally seek a more lawful venue by taking flight to many surrounding options that now extend into Alabama and Mississippi. I question why your friends would seek a clandestine back room, rather than the comfort of casinos that are short day trip away.
Could it be, that “What Girls do” is simply better judgment?
