Crabtree Farms Has Spring Plant Sale & Festival This Weekend

The Spring Plant Sale & Festival at Crabtree Farms is this Saturday, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m., and Sunday, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. There will be great plants, free tours and workshops, live music, and fun for the whole family.

Crabtree offers over 180 different varieties of healthy beautiful plants to fill a spring garden: 

    • Veggies include:  12 varieties of Heirloom Tomatoes, Tomatillos, Eggplant, Asparagus, Hot and Sweet Peppers, Okra 
    • Perennials include: 4 varieties of Columbine, Lamb's Ear, Curly Willow, Bee Balm, Rudbeckia 
    • Fruits include:  Thornless Blackberries, Raspberries, Blueberries, Cactus Pear, Grapes, and Figs
    • Herbs include:  Lemongrass, Mint, Rosemary, Basil, and many more!
    • Worm Castings, Potting Soil and Nature Safe Fertilizer are also available for purchase at Check-Out!

Tennessee Highway Patrol Steps Up Seat Belt, DUI Enforcement For Memorial Day Weekend

The Tennessee Highway Patrol will step up seat belt and DUI enforcement efforts over the Memorial Day holiday weekend. The THP also encourages all motorists to drive safely during the 78-hour period. CARTA Announces Memorial Day Schedule

In observance of Memorial Day, CARTA’s fixed route and Downtown Shuttle buses will operate on Saturday schedules on Monday. The CARTA Care-a-van will also be operating on a holiday schedule. 3 Charged In Raleigh With Murder Of Former Cleveland, Tn., Woman

Three people have been charged in Raleigh, N.C., with the murder last week of a 30-year-old woman, who had just moved from Cleveland, Tn.
