Jerry Wayne Partin, 74, of Cleveland, Tn., died Sunday, April 15, 2012 in a Chattanooga hospital.
He was a member of Westwood Baptist Church. Mr. Partin was a retired veteran of the U.S. Navy. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam. Mr. Partin was a member of the American Legion Post 81, the Fleet Reserve Association and he was retired from Cleveland Bank and Trust.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert Partin and Hannah Orick Partin; brothers, Willard Partin, William “Bo” Partin and Willie Partin; and sisters, Bessie Parker and Betty Sue Ball.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Ella J. Partin of Cleveland; daughter, Leigh Ann Boyd and her husband Bill of Cleveland; sister, Lois Benson of California; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Rusty Asble officiating. Interment will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, in Jellico Cemetery in Jellico, Tn. with military honors.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 17 at the Fike Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.
