Of all the dumb bureaucratic rules I have ever seen the one requiring Charles Joynes to be replaced as principal of Brainerd High for the system to qualify for a $500,000 grant is the most ridiculous. I understand the need to replace mediocre principals but the progress this man has made at Brainerd in only three years is nothing short of remarkable. He is exactly the type of person we need as a leader in our school system.
I don't often agree with the black community but in this case they are completely justified in protesting the decision to replace Mr.
Joynes. Surely there is some provision in the law to provide for an exemption in cases like these.
