Chuck Fleischmann Votes For Small Business Tax Cut Act

  • Thursday, April 19, 2012

Congressman Chuck Fleischmann voted for H.R. 9 the Small Business Tax Cut Act, which provides a 20% tax cut to businesses with fewer than 500 employees.

“Between the taxes and red tape coming out of Washington, small businesses are having a difficult time," he said.

"Our small businesses are the true job creators in America, but they face tax rates as high as 35%. This 20% tax cut will give 22 million small businesses the tools they need to grow their businesses and create jobs.  While Senate Democrats voted for a tax increase this week, in the House of Representatives we passed a tax cut which helps small businesses hire.  The contrast between our visions could not be clearer.

"The Small Business Tax Cut Act creates an across-the-board tax cut to all small businesses; getting Washington out of the business of picking winners and losers in the marketplace."
