Police Make 8 Prostitution Arrests During Sting; One Caught For 15th Time

Officers from the Chattanooga Police Department’s Special Investigations Vice, Narcotics, and Crime Suppression Units carried out a prostitution sting.

Officers worked in an undercover capacity to approach suspected prostitutes to see if a “date” could be made.  The activity was conducted in the East Lake, Rossville Boulevard and Highland Park areas.

During the operation, eight people were arrested.

They are:

1. Tami Arnold, 44, arrested in the 2700 blk. of Rossville Boulevard.

Charged with prostitution within 1.5 miles of a school.  Comp. # 12-037319.  (Arrested six times for prostitution in Chattanooga)

2. Patricia Wooten, 58, arrested in the 1700 blk. of S. Willow Street.  Charged with prostitution within 1.5 miles of a school. Comp. # 12-037323  (Arrested 15 times for prostitution in Chattanooga )

3. Tammy Kemp, 37, arrested in the 1900 blk. of S. Willow.  Charged with prostitution within 1.5 miles of a school. Comp.# 12-037329 (Arrested one time for prostitution in Chattanooga ) 

4. Lakisha Baker, 33, arrested in the 2500 blk. of E. Main Street. Charged with Prostitution within 1.5 miles of a school. Comp. # 12-037384 (Arrested two times for prostitution in Chattanooga )

5. Mary Kent, 51, arrested in the 1800 blk. of S. Willow. Charged with prostitution within 1.5 miles of a school. Comp. # 12-037394 (Arrested one time for prostitution in Chattanooga ) 

6. Tonya Ector, 40, arrested in the 2100 blk. of E. 23 rd. st.  Charged with prostitution within 1.5 miles of school.  Comp. # 12-037406  (Arrested nine times for prostitution in Chattanooga )

7. Kandy Mitchell, 52, arrested in the 2100 blk. of E. 23rd. st.  Charged with prostitution within 1.5 miles of a school. Comp. # 12-037418 (Arrested one time for prostitution in Chattanooga )

8. Tracy Raines, 34, arrested in the 2100 blk. of S. Willow st.  Charged with prostitution within 1.5 miles of a school. Comp. # 12-037423 (Arrested one time for prostitution in Chattanooga )

Officers also charged 37-year-old Tammy Lee Hering with prostitution within 1.5 miles of a school.
