Cleveland, Tn.'s Kaylee Marie Radzyminski has been named one of the Top 20 College Women by Glamour.com.
Ms. Radzyminski, 20, is studying geographic information systems at Tennessee Tech.
She is the creator of Tunes for the Troops, shipping more than one million discs to troops stationed around the world
The Glamour.com article says when she was at Naval Sea Cadet camp as a teen, "she learned that what soldiers overseas miss most besides their families is entertainment; their CD and DVD collections get old fast.
" That gave her the idea to launch Tunes for the Troops.
The article notes that Ms. Radzyminski also spends a lot of time caring for her family. It says, "Since her mom started treatment for the autoimmune disease lupus in late 2011, Radzyminski spends weekends at home, even paying her mother’s rent out of her resident assistant and ROTC stipends."
It says her grandfather, a former Marine major, has been her role model. She says: “The way he treated people and served his country -I want to do that too.”
The article says after serving in Army Intelligence, her next goal is "to be the first female U.S. secretary of defense.”
