Disgruntled Customer At 20th Street Auto Lot Draws Handgun; Employees Dive For Cover

Police said a disgruntled customer at a car lot on E. 20th Street pulled out a gun and began firing.

Officers said 19-year-old Bionca Meenyon Buchanan fired three rounds at Best Motors Used Car Company.

Police said the shots at the employees "caused them to flee for their lives. No persons were hit during the shooting, but several had minor scrapes from diving on the ground."

In the incident Friday, Fay Sims said Ms. Buchanan got into an argument about repairs done on her vehicle. He said she walked out of the office, out the front door and down the steps toward her car when she suddenly began cursing at the personnel.

She then pulled out a large black handgun from her purse and said, "I'm gonna kill all you m---- f------s."

After the gunplay, she left in a green Toyota wagon that was driven by a man with dreads. There was a female in the back seat.

Police found the vehicle at 1904 E. 14th Street. Ms. Buchanan was inside the house.

Officer found the handgun and some drug paraphernalia inside the house.

She is charged with four counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm while in commission of a crime, two counts of reckless endangerment, two counts of carrying a dangerous weapon, discharging a firearm in town, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
