Rock The Relief Benefits Tornado Victims

Tuesday, April 24, 2012

The Cleveland/Bradley Disaster relief event committee will host Rock the Relief, a two-day outdoor concert festival to be held on the anniversary of last year’s devastating storms, April 27 and April 28.  The event will be held at 185 Morgan Road known as Pappy’s Place which has been the past host of other events such as the Relay for Life’s Boot Scootin Beauties and the annual Boogie at the Barn.

This is the third Rock the Relief event held in the past year.  The events have raised several thousand dollars that go directly to local recovery efforts.

The two day event includes local and regional bands.  There will be food vendors from local restaurants, events planned for children and the option to camp overnight at the event.

Individual day tickets are $15.  An all-access ticket is $75 and includes the two days of music, overnight camping spot, four meals from the local restaurant vendors and five non-alcoholic beverages.  Tickets for children under 12 are free.   All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.  Gates open at 5 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Tickets may be purchased at www.rocktherelieftn.com or at the gate.  The event is still seeking sponsors and donations to help make this event a success for all of the people in the community who have been affected by the devastating storms.

But the dirty deeds themselves carry little weight as to what they mean to you or me. ... (click for more)
