Chuck Fleischmann Honors The 64th Anniversary Of Israel

  • Thursday, April 26, 2012

Congressman Chuck Fleischmann made the following remarks honoring the 64th anniversary of the founding of Israel:

“Today celebrates the birth of Israel, of one of our greatest moral and strategic allies in the world.  In a Middle East full of brutal dictatorships, repression, and terrorism, Israel stands as a shining light of a free nation.  Yet it is a nation under siege, surrounded by enemies who wish its destruction, and attacked by terrorist who have no qualms about killing innocents.  I would like to wish the people of Israel a happy 64th anniversary, and let all Israelis know that we stand with you."

Rep. Fleischmann is also a cosponsor of H. Con. Res. 115, a resolution honoring the 64th anniversary of Israel.
