Baylor's Matthew Chen Receives Gates Millennium Scholarship

Baylor student Matthew Chen is one of only 1,000 seniors nationwide to receive the prestigious Gates Millennium Scholarship.

Mr. Chen was selected among 24,000 applicants for the scholarship, which covers tuition and other college expenses for academically outstanding minority students. The scholarship also pays for up to five years of graduate school tuition if a recipient pursues a postgraduate degree in education, engineering, library science, math, public health, physical science or science.

The scholarship is funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Larry Johnson Named Dalton State Business School Dean; Other Faculty Promoted
