Everette L. Hunt, 89, of Cleveland, Tn., died Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at a Chattanooga health care facility.

He was a charter member of Tasso Baptist Church. He served in the U.S Army and was a veteran of World War II where he was in the South Pacific. Mr. Hunt was a well known barber and owner of Hunt’s Trailer Park. He was a retired security guard at Magic Chef. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard F. and Annette Rogers Hunt; first wife, Ada Marie Hunt; second wife, Glenna Jewel Hunt; and brother, Floyd “Buck” Hunt. 

He is survived by his children, Lee Hunt of Chattanooga, Penny Weathers of Cleveland and Anthony Howard Hunt and wife, Tonya of Cleveland; step-son, Victor Paul of Cleveland; five grandchildren, Angela Marie Allen, Brian Matthew Hunt, Amanda Lee McDonald, Jennifer Victoria Hunt and Anthony T.D. Hunt; and three great-grandchildren, Rachel Allen, Reagan Allen and Rebecca Allen. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 29, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Cawood officiating. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 30, in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with T.D. Hunt, Anthony Hunt, Troy Weathers, Micah McDonald and Lee Hunt serving as pallbearers. Military honors and a white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, April 29 at the Fike Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.

Valetta Jean Heuser, 93, of Rock Spring, died on Monday, May 20, 2013 in a local hospital. Mrs. Heuser was a charter member of Ft.
