b) MR-2012-030 Memorial Health Care System (Abandonment).  An ordinance closing and abandoning several sewer easements located within properties located at 950 North Chamberlain Avenue and 1005 Glenwood Drive, more particularly described herein, subject to certain conditions.  (Recommended for approval by Planning and Public Works.)  (Districts 8 & 9.)  (Corrected.)
 

MR-2012-030 Memorial Health Care System (Abandonment).  An ordinance closing and abandoning several sewer easements located within properties located at 950 North Chamberlain Avenue and 1005 Glenwood Drive, more particularly described herein.  (Applicant Version.)

VII. Resolutions: 

a) A resolution to amend Resolution No. 26605 authorizing the Administrator of the Department of Public Works to enter into an agreement with S&ME, Inc. for professional services relative to Contract No. E-10-010-303, for Geoenvironmental and Construction Materials Consulting Requirement Contracts, to revise the amount to approximately $100,000.00.  (Corrected.)

b) A resolution to amend  Resolution No. 26606 authorizing the Administrator of the Department of Public Works to enter into an agreement with Terracon Consultants, Inc. for professional services relative to Contract No. E-10-010-301, for Geoenvironmental and Construction Materials Consulting Requirement Contracts, to revise the amount to approximately $100,000.00.  (Corrected.)

c) A resolution to amend Resolution No. 26607 authorizing the Administrator of the Department of Public Works to enter into an agreement with Thompson Engineering, Inc. for professional services relative to Contract No. E-10-010-302, for Geoenvironmental and Construction Materials Consulting Requirement Contracts, to revise the amount to approximately $100,000.00.  (Corrected.)

d) A resolution authorizing Liberty Tower, LLC to begin installation of a pedestrian bridge over the 200 block of West 6th Street, as shown in the drawings attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference, subject to certain conditions.  (District 8.)  (Corrected.)

e) 2012-049 Paisa, Inc. (Special Exceptions Permit).  A resolution approving a Special Exceptions Permit for use of a late night entertainment center located at 6175 Airways Boulevard, as more particularly described in the attached report and maps, subject to certain conditions.  (District 6.)

f) A resolution authorizing payment to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, relative to the State Industrial Access Road serving Volkswagen Group of America, Contract No. E-09-015-801, TDOT PIN No. 114048.00, in an amount not to exceed $15,000.00.  (Added by permission of Council Chairwoman Ladd.)

g) A resolution authorizing the City of Chattanooga to reimburse the Tennessee Department of Transportation for overcharges relative to the Enterprise South Phase 1B, Contract No. E-04-036, Federal Project No. HPP-9202(94), TDOT PIN No. 106263.02, in an amount not to exceed $21,252.87.  (Added by permission of Council Chairwoman Ladd.)

b) A resolution authorizing the Director of General Services to sign a contract with Two Rivers Roofing in the amount of $52,880.00, with a contingency of $5,000.00, in an amount not to exceed $57,880.00 for installation of an 8,800 square foot section of roof at the City warehouse located at 1815 Main Street.

c) A resolution authorizing the Director of General Services to sign a contract with Eastman Construction in the amount of $43,999.00 for installation of windows and doors at the new police station located at 702 E. 11th Street.

d) A resolution authorizing the Mayor to apply for, and accept, a 2012 Justice Assistance Grant for the purchase of radar units and patrol rifle mounts for the Chattanooga Police Department and approving the use of this grant by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

e) A resolution authorizing Change Order No. 1 for Cranston Engineering Group, P.C. relative to Contract No. S-10-008, Brainerd Levee FEMA Compliance Determination, for an increase of $115,915.00, for a total amount not to exceed $627,435.00.  (Districts 5 & 6.)

f) A resolution authorizing the Administrator of the Department of Public Works to award Contract No. W-11-001-201, to Service Electric Company, Inc., Moccasin Bend Wastewater Treatment Plant 46-kV Power Circuit Breaker Replacement Substation Construction, in the amount of $149,976.00, with a contingency amount of $15,000.00, for an amount not to exceed $164,976.00.  (District 1.)

g) 2012-PW-007 City of Chattanooga c/o Dennis Malone.   A resolution to change the right-of-way name for the 2500-2599 block of Camden Street to the 2500-2599 block of Hiwassee Street, Tax Map No. 136-M, due to duplicate 911 issues for emergency responder reports.  (District 9.)


h) 2012-PW-008 City of Chattanooga c/o Dennis Malone.  A resolution to name an unnamed alley to the 800-899 block of Stellar View, Tax Map No. 126M, due to the development of new homes for address assignment.  (District 1.)

Former Nurse Charged With Stealing Drugs

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics and Special Operations charged Shannon Rene Williams,  a former nurse at Parkridge Hospital East with 10 counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud and one count of felony theft. First Trial Gets Underway In 2010 Slaying Of Bernard Hughes, Wounding Of Timothy Westfield

The first trial got underway Tuesday in the murder of one man and wounding of another that occurred almost three years ago at the British Woods Apartments. Replace Airport Authority Board Members - And Response
