Robert  Jameson, 71, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, April 30, 2012.  

He was born in Denver, Colorado to the late Robert and Charlotte Jameson. He retired after a long career as an electrician. Robert was an active member of Silverdale Baptist Church where he was a member of Greg Bolton’s Sunday School Class and he faithfully served in the pre-school, was a church greeter and worked in the Divorce Care Ministry. He loved to help people. 

He was preceded in death by his sister, Judi Pinelli.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Linda Jameson; four children, Greg (Lisa) Jameson of Kansas City, Mo., Sherry (James) Bullard of Chattanooga, Kim Shamblin of Chattanooga, and Ron Shamblin of Denver, Co.; four grandchildren, Carter Jameson, Alex Ray, Daniel Weaver (Ashley), Ashley Ray; great-granddaughter, Laila Bettis; brother, Sam (Diane) Jameson of Denver, Co.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, May 3, at 2 p.m. at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Reverend Tony Walliser officiating.  Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.  

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 2, from 4-8 p.m., and on Thursday from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dog Fighting Operation Uncovered On Talladega Avenue

TBI was executing a narcotics search warrant at 6302 Talladega Ave. in Chattanooga on Friday and uncovered a dog fighting operation. City May Move Forward On $47 Million Wilcox Tunnel Project

City officials may move forward on a $47 million project to upgrade the narrow Wilcox Tunnel through Missionary Ridge.
