Kenneth Homer Brewster, 88, of Chattanooga, died on April 29, 2012.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Golden Gateway, served two years in the United States Army during WWII in the Pacific Theater, and worked for TVA for 32 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Elizabeth Brewster and nine siblings.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Mildred Brewster; daughter, Annette Brewster; son, Scott (Allison) Brewster; grandchildren, Dene (Darrick) Whited, Matthew and Jack Brewster, Beth and Patrick Cooper; and great-grandchildren, Vance Thomas, Will, Katie, Ashlyn, and Jasper Whited and Aaliyah Cooper.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2.

Funeral services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Dr. Gary Carver officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, Tn. 37415.

Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 404 South Moore Road.
