East Ridge Receives Additional Recycling Cans

The city of East Ridge has received an additional 100 recycling cans. City Services will deliver these additional cans to households who have been on a waiting list since January. The city currently has 1,586 recycling participants.

“Since beginning the program in September, the city has kept 213.74 tons of materials out of the landfills,” Sanitation Supervisor Melvin Petty said.  "The city has saved approximately $6,771.36 in landfill fees and has netted $8,610.19 in revenue after fuel expenses.”
