Jowanda “Jo Weezie” Wyatt, born September 6, 1982, died on May 2, 2012 in a local hospital.
She was a graduate of Howard High School Class of 2001. She also was a college graduate of Chattanooga State Community College Class of 2005 as a dental hygienist. She later received her CNA certification from NHC Parkwood where she was last employed and received CNA of The Year two years in a row.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Betty and Ernest Johnson; grandfather, Fred Wyatt, Sr.; uncle, Fred Wyatt, Jr.; and son, Jowan Wyatt.
She is survived by her mother, Wanda Tucker; father, Joel Wyatt; grandmother, Virginia Wyatt; lifelong partner, Gregory Norwood; son, Geovonnie K. Norwood; daughter, Geunie J. Norwood; sisters, Kimberly (Alvin) Brown, Kathy (Dustin) Walker, Kori K. Norwood; aunties, Linda Johnson, Sharon Wyatt, Tonya Wyatt; uncles, Austin, Kevin, Derrell Wyatt; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Fuenral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
The body will lie in state after noon on Friday, May 11, and the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
