Chattanooga Habitat Young Professionals Host Pool Party

Chattanooga Habitat Young Professionals is hosting the First Annual Pool Party on Thursday, May 17, from 5–8 p.m.

The Pool Party is a get together for those ages 21 to 40 interested in being involved with CHYP. It is way to network with other young professional in the Chattanooga area at a casual social event. The Pool Party will include a cook out, swimming and conversation with other young professionals in the Chattanooga area.

CHYP is a group of individuals seeking to combat poverty by helping build affordable housing for low income families, while provided networking opportunities for future leaders. They are motivated to make a positive impact in the Chattanooga area and have fun doing it.  Membership provides opportunities to volunteer, donate and speak out as Habitat advocates. 

A one-year membership is $60 and runs from July 1 until June 30. Members come from a variety of backgrounds, sharing their time, talent and resources to advance the Habitat mission.

Tennessee Highway Patrol Steps Up Seat Belt, DUI Enforcement For Memorial Day Weekend

CARTA Announces Memorial Day Schedule

In observance of Memorial Day, CARTA’s fixed route and Downtown Shuttle buses will operate on Saturday schedules on Monday. The CARTA Care-a-van will also be operating on a holiday schedule. 3 Charged In Raleigh With Murder Of Former Cleveland, Tn., Woman

Three people have been charged in Raleigh, N.C., with the murder last week of a 30-year-old woman, who had just moved from Cleveland, Tn.
