Wilson, William Esker (Old Fort)

William Esker Wilson, 74, of Old Fort, Tn., died Thursday, May 10, 2012 in an Etowah health care facility. 

He was a member of Ball Play Baptist Church. He was retired from Suttons Lumber Mill. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben Wilson and Josie Green Wilson. 

He is survived by children, William (Mitchell) and wife Shelia Wilson of Old Fort, Michelle and husband, John Zysk of Newman, Ga. and Rodney Wilson of Cleveland; grandchildren, Amanda Broglin, Mark Maddux, Nathan Maddux, Justin and Allison Zysk, Roy Wilson, Jesse Wilson, Kevin Wilson, Dylan Wilson, Hope Wilson, Mitchell Runions, Riley Wilson and Lilly Wilson; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Sue Huffman of Olsmar, Fla.; brothers, Bobby and wife Mary Wilson and Jerry and wife Sharon Wilson all of Old Fort; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at the Ball Play Baptist Church with Reverend Chad Maxwell officiating. Interment will follow in Ball Play Baptist Church Cemetery. 

His family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, May 12 at the church prior to the service.

Williamson, Betty Faye (Copperhill)

Betty Faye Williamson, 54, of Copperhill, died on May 16, 2013.  She was born in Salisbury, N..,C and raised in Chattanooga. She worked at Animal Clinic East for 12 years and was a big animal lover. Man Stabbed To Death After Argument

A Chattanooga man was stabbed to death after an argument on Friday night.
