Jane K. Alford, 75, of Charleston, Tn., died Friday morning, May 11, 2012, in a local health care facility.

She was a member of Charleston United Methodist Church. She was retired from South Central Bell after 29 years of service. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold T. Kile and Pauline Cartwright; one grandson, Spencer Kile Alflord; and one brother, Tommy Kile. 

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard "Dickie" Alford, Charleston; three children, Wesley B.(Brenda) Alford, Cleveland, Lee Ann (Ray) Swindle, Rossville and Gincy (John) Brewster, Knoxville; five grandchildren, Lloyd Swindle, Kala Swindle, Lauren A. Alford, Kile Brewster and Maxwell Brewster; two step-grandchildren, Todd Torbett and Travis and Amber Torbett; two great-grandchildren, Makeylee and Madison Torbett; two sisters, Delores (Claude) Climer and Judy Watson; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held Monday, May 14, at 1 p.m. at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with nephews and grandchildren serving as pallbearers. 

The family will receive friends Sunday, May 13, from 3-5 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home who in charge of arrangements.
