Gail Lindsey, long-term care planning specialist of the Lindsey & Associates agency, is recognized nationally as a leading long-term care insurance professional in Tennessee.

The Chattanooga professional was recognized by the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance, the national trade organization, as the recipient of the industry's 2012 Achievement Award. 

"There are currently 40,000 insurance and financial professionals who market long-term care insurance," said Jesse Slome, the association's executive director. "To be recognized among the leading professionals within a state is certainly an important distinction." 

The annual award recognizes leading long-term care insurance sales professionals working to meet the needs of consumers nationwide. Ms. Lindsey was recognized for her sales of long-term care insurance protection to individual consumers. 

“Tennesseans are living longer lives and are therefore far more likely to need long-term care," Ms. Lindsey said.  "I am passionate about educating individuals and families about the risk they face and their options to avoid what can be a financially and emotionally devastating event." 

With more than 16 years experience, Ms. Lindsey has been successfully meeting the needs of individuals and small business owners in Chattanooga and the surrounding areas.

Tennessee Unemployment Rates Down In 62 Counties, Up In 23, And No Change In 10

County unemployment rates in Tennessee for April 2013, released Thursday, show the rate decreased in 62 counties, increased in 23, and stayed the same in ten.
