Service Systems, LLC Expands Chattanooga Facility

Service Systems, LLC announced the addition of Alan Woodward as chief estimator in its Door and Frame Division.

Ron Howard, manager of the Door and Frame Division at Service Systems said, “We are extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to add Alan Woodward to our team. Alan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Service Systems that will further our ability to grow and provide the best services to our customers.”

Mr. Woodward, with over 30 years experience, joins Mr. Howard and Carl Lindkvist in the Door and Frame Division. The addition of Mr. Woodward gives Service Systems a combined total of over 75 years experience in the commercial door and hardware industry.

Service Systems also announced the opening of the city sales counter.

The city counter was opened to service the needs of local contractors and builders. Service Systems will officially kick-off its City Counter with an open house on Friday, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Local architects, builders, designers, and general contractors are encouraged attend. Several key vendors and suppliers will be available to provide information about product offerings.

Service Systems, LLC provides steel doors and frames, wood doors, commercial door hardware, toilet partitions, toilet accessories, and specialty items in the Chattanooga, market from its Door and Frame Group and nationwide through its National Sales Division.

Dog Fighting Operation Uncovered On Talledega Avenue

TBI was executing a narcotics search warrant at 6302Talladega Ave. in Chattanooga on Friday and uncovered a dog fighting operation. Officials said it consisted of numerous pit bills, a fight ring, a treadmill and blood-stained carpets and paneling. Mcckamey Animal Services personnel were processing the fight scene. City May Move Forward On $47 Million Wilcox Tunnel Project

City officials may move forward on a $47 million project to upgrade the narrow Wilcox Tunnel through Missionary Ridge. The City Council on Tuesday is to consider a resolution to apply for a $25 million federal TIGER grant. The city would still have to come up with $21,825,000 through "local funds or grants."
