Bonnie Doil Collins Bell, 80, of Hixson, died on Sunday, May 13, 2012.  

She was the daughter of the late James F. and Sophia “Trecie” Tollett Collins of Jasper, Tn. Mrs. Bell was a member of the Zion Assembly of God in Midland City, Alabama. She also attended Middle Valley Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon R. Bell; infant brother, James Floyd; sisters, Juanita Layne Jordan and Imogene Holland Castell; step-grandchild, Prairie Jean Hawley; and nephew, John “Porky” Holland.

Survivors include her sister, Verdell Rhoades of Hixson; brothers, James F. Collins Jr. of Chattanooga and Lawrence T. (Rebecca) Collins of Jasper; six nephews; eight nieces; several great-nephews and nieces; step-children:  Linda Balzam, Barbara (John) Hawley, Georgia (John) Bradley, Virginia (Bill) Hite, Betsy (Alberto) Rivera and John (Connie) Bell; 14 step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace with Pastor Mitch McClure officiating.  Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.  

Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, and 10 a.m.-1p.m. on Thursday at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace.

Eileen L. Trippler, 95, of East Ridge, died on Tuesday, May 21, 2013.
