Julia Mae Ford, 89, of Birchwood, died on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at a local health center. 

She was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Joe and Nannie Wilson; husband, Glenn M. Ford; sister, Lillie Young; brother, Luther Wilson.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Bobbie (Alvis) Elder, of Ooltewah; stepson, Dale Ford; stepdaughter, Becky Ford; two grandchildren, Lisa (Kevin) Ruehling, Anita (Ron) Willerson; three great-grandchildren, Dusty and Christopher Aalburg, Lyla Willerson; four great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to say a special thanks to her two brothers-in-law, Author “Rounder” Ford and George Ford for all their care given after her husband passed away.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 15, from 4-8 p.m. and on Wednesday up to the hour of service at the funeral home or you may visit the on-line guest book at www.turnerfamilyfuneralhome.com

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, May 16, at 11 a.m. in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with the Reverend Lloyd Harvill officiating. Interment will follow in the Bald Hill Cemetery with “Rounder” and George Ford, Alvis Elder, Kevin Ruehling, Ron Willerson and Ronnie Hicks serving as pallbearers.
