Lakshmi Luthra, UTC assistant professor of photography, media arts and graphic design will discuss celebrity photography as it relates to the new exhibition, Sound and Vision: Monumental Rock and Roll Photography at Hunter Museum.
Sound and Vision presents 40 large-scale prints of many of the most notable musicians, songwriters and performers of the last half of the 20th century taken by 20 accomplished photographers. The exhibit examines the dynamic connection between the power of music and photography.
Sound and Vision: A Photographer's View, will be Thursday at 6 p.m.
The exhibition was organized by The Columbus Museum, Ga., and guest curator Christopher Murray of Govinda Gallery in Washington, D.C. Exhibition sponsors are Signature Audio Systems and JDH Company, Inc. Roofing and Sheetmetal Contractors.
