Roger Darrell Garrison, 50, of Rossville, Georgia, died on Friday, May 11, 2012. 

He was born to the late Raleigh and Helen Stidham Garrison in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was of the Protestant faith, enjoyed fishing and X-box, Alabama, NASCAR and Jeff Gordon and he worked for William McBride Drywall for 17 years.

Survivors include his three children, Chris and Rhonda Garrison of Chattanooga, Justin Garrison of Rossville; sisters, Della Downs and Sandra McBride of Rossville; brother, Robert Deaton of Rock Hill, N.C.; grandson, Lucas Garrison, and many nieces and nephews.
 

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, in the funeral home chapel. 

The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until service time on Saturday. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Wilson Funeral Home in honor of Roger Garrison. 

Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.

Eileen L. Trippler, 95, of East Ridge, died on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, at Chattanooga National Cemetery.   There will not be any visitation prior to the burial. Rogers, 20, Shot Twice While Standing On His Porch

A 20-year-old man was shot twice while standing on his porch on Monday night. At approximately 8:44 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a shooting that occurred in the 1900 block of Walker Street.
