John Langley

John L. Langley, 90, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on Tuesday May 15, 2012 at his residence.  

He was born March 18, 1922 in Thorn, Ms., and had been a resident of Chattanooga for 65 years. He was a member of Tyner United Methodist Church, Shriner-Alhambra Temple, Scottish Rite and a 32degree mason with the Fidelity Lodge 558 F&AM, also a member of  the American Legion Post 95. 

John graduated from Houston High in Houston, Ms., and also from Edmondson Business College in Chattanooga.  He served during WWII in the Army Signal Corp. He retired from Chattanooga Gas Company after 32 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Sally Langley, three sisters, and five brothers.

John is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jane P. Langley and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 18, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Glen Mosley and Pastor Charlie Harrison officiating. The interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors presented. Pallbearers will be Robbie Taylor, Bill Martin Payne, Chuck Langley, John Langley, James Eric Blissard, and James Robert Fox.

Quinn, Earl Dewey

Earl Dewey Quinn, 74, of Apison, Tennessee, died on May 18, 2013 at his residence.  Earl was an employee at Collegedale Caseworks with 34 years of service, a lifelong resident of Apison, and an avid wrestling and Nascar fan. Hunt, Genella

Genella Hunt, 88, of Rossville, died on Friday, May 17, 2013 at a local health care facility.  Survivors include her husband, Donald C. Hunt, Jr.; four children; 10 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Services will be on June 1. Man Stabbed To Death After Argument

A Chattanooga man was stabbed to death after an argument on Friday night. At approximately 11 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a stabbing at 101 E 20 th St. where they found the victim, Alexis Lewis, 51, lying on the walkway with a fatal stab wound to his chest.
