Linda Gay Smith, 69, of Chattanooga, died on Wednesday, May 16, 2012.  

She was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, daughter of the late Floyd L. and Johnnie Jackson Smith. 

Linda was of the Baptist faith and retired from the Work Shop at Orange Grove Center. 

She is survived by her cousins, A.J. Smith, Kay Hughes, Marsha Jackson, Gil Jackson and her loving family of caregivers at Orange Grove Center, including Janis Simmons and Sharlene Ford.

The family will receive friends from 12-1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Forest Hills Cemetery with Chaplain Ed Lemmond officiating. 

There will be a memorial service held at Orange Grove Center at a later date.

In honor of Linda, memorial contributions may be made to The Supported Living Department at Orange Grove Center, 505 Derby Street, Chattanooga, Tn. 37404.

Arrangements are by Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist, North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
