Dixon, Jerry Don (Benton)

Jerry Don Dixon, 69, of Benton, Tn., died Monday, May 14, 2012 in a local hospital. 

Mr. Dixon was the son of the late Raymond Dixon and Lena Aldridge Dixon; and was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Randall Dixon and Troy Dixon. 

He is survived by his two children, Lance Dixon and wife Mary of Chattanooga and Lisa Ogle of Riceville; four grandchildren, Holli Simko and Taylor Ogle both of Cleveland, Jessica Dixon and Bradley Dixon both of Chattanooga; one brother, Ken Dixon of Cleveland; one sister, Brenda Dixon of Etowah; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Thursday, May 17, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Max Morris officiating. Interment will follow in Lebanon Cemetery with Brad Dixon, Taylor Ogle, Shaun Turner and Marty Dixon serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. 

His family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday, May 17 at the Ralph Buckner Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Humane Society.
