Rosie Mae Flowers, 87, of Cleveland, Tn., died Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in a local health care facility. She was a member of Old Fashion Gospel Tabernacle on Hannah Drive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Jackson Sanders and Suzanna Irene Vines Sanders; husband, Johnny Flowers; and son, Howard Flowers.
She is survived by three children, Mary Hawkins and husband Gene of Dalton, Dora Mae McGill and husband Larry and James Flowers all of Cleveland; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; one brother, William Sanders of Charleston; two sisters, Cora Wooden of Cleveland and Marie Martin of Etowah; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, May 18, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Prospect Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.
Her family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, May 17 at the Ralph Buckner Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.
