Victor Ford, 97, died on May 17, 2012.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Lorraine.
He lived the first 70 years of his life in Pennsylvania, and then moved to Chattanooga to be near his grandchildren. He was an active member of South Seminole Baptist Church, loved to play golf and was the ultimate handyman. He spent the last year of his life at the Morning Pointe Lantern facility where he was well-loved and cared for.
He is survived by two daughters, Dianne Worthington of Ayden, N.C., and Deb Gruner of Chattanooga, and their spouses, Milton and Brad; seven grandchildren, Rebekah Seymour, Ruth Thornberry, Rachel White, James Worthington, Jason Gruner, Joshua Gruner and Heidi Gruner, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until service time.
