Mercydes Davis, 7, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, May 13, 2012, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Martin County, Fla. She was joined in death by her mother, Porcsha Davis Suggs; stepfather, Demetrius Suggs; and stepsister, Rannisha Powell.
She was preceded in death by her father, Travis Brinson; and grandmother, Terry Brinson Livsey.
She was a student at the Chattanooga Charter School of Excellence.
Survivors include her grandparents, Amanda (Emile Baltimore) Davis of Charleston, W.V., and Albert Davis of Knoxville; great-grandparents, Annie P. Hannah and Mary Davis both of Knoxville; uncles, Arthur Richardson, Terrance Brown both of Miami, FL, Leroy Middleton of Spotsyvania, Va., Johnathan and Carlos Brinson both of Knoxville; aunts, Tabitha Brown of Miami and Brittany Davis of Knoxville; special cousins, Mikayla Cowan, Courtney Jackson, Dyamond Davis, Tekeidra Jones and Thaiya Davis; a host of other relatives; special friends, Patrick Morran, Mildred Taylor, Rosa and Bud Pascal, Sandra Bynam, Courney Garner, Charter School Family, Winder Dary Family and many others.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 19, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Walter L. Hambrick as the eulogist.
