Eloise Crawford Hixon, 87, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, died on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at her residence.  

She was a founding member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Oglethorpe since 1952. Since 2001, she worked at the Colonnade and was a recognized volunteer. Mrs. Hixon worked in the real estate business prior to 2001.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, T.G. Hixon Jr.; and brother, Jim Crawford.

Survivors are her son, Ronnie (Kaye) Hixon, Chattanooga; daughter, Nola (Pat) Shivers, Springfield, Mo.; brother, George C. (Marie) Crawford, Jasper, Tn.; sister, Paula (Parnick) Stone, Chattanooga; grandchildren, Stacie Allred, Krissy Llewellyn, Jennifer Green and Emily Ashlock; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 21, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Jason Thomas and Reverend Randy Bell and officiating. Interment will be in National Cemetery. 

Honorary pallbearers will be volunteers of the Catoosa County Colonnade.
