Wendell Keith Parrish, 44, of Fort Oglethorpe, died on Friday, May 18, 2012.
He had lived in West Virginia and the North Georgia areas for most of his life and was of the Methodist faith. He was previously employed with JNJ Express as a truck driver for more than six years, he had a passion for riding motorcycles, and was just a big kid at heart.
He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Parrish and father-in-law, Clarence Posey.
Survivors include his wife of more than 11 years, Christy Parrish of Fort Oglethorpe; mother, Bonnie Kimble of Fort Ashby, W.V.; mother-in-law, Margaret Posey of Fort Oglethorpe; sister and brother-in-law, Rachel and (John) Cobb of West Virginia, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Reverend James Barker officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens.
The family will begin receiving friends after 2 p.m. on Monday, May 21, and prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
