Chattanooga is currently on the National Geographic Channel on the show, The Great American Manhunt.
The show, which airs Thursdays, was shot last spring, and Chattanooga was the crew's home base for the entire shooting season.
So far, there have been scenes showing the downtown area, Hunter Museum, Chattanooga Library, the Chattanooga Open Water Swim club, and more.
Upcoming shows had locations on Signal Mountain, Lookout Mountain, Foster Falls, Knoxville, etc.
Brian Gilbert, who was part of the local production crew, said, "It's surprising that so very few people locally are aware of this program and the good it does for our community. Not only does it present a "visual postcard" to the world, the dollars this production brought here were considerable... over $40,000 in hotel rooms alone, plus wages for about 20 local production people."
