Marianne Sullivan,  77, of Chattanooga, died on Tuesday, May 1, 2012.

A Michigan resident before moving here 35 years ago, Marianne was retired after several years’ service as a medical technologist at Lakeside Medical Clinic. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church.

Surviving are her husband, Robert “Bob”  Sullivan; four sons: Bob Sullivan, Jr., and wife, Dianne, Steve Sullivan, Dennis Sullivan and wife, Janet, all of Chattanooga, and Jeff  Sullivan and wife Karen of Des Moines, Iowa; daughter, Patti  Krispinsky and husband, Steve, of Ashland, Ohio; 15 grandchildren: Danny, Michael and Kelly Krispinsky; Erin Jaynes and husband, Mike; Amy, Beth and Jill Sullivan; Anne, Christian, Brian, Ian and Andrew Sullivan; Samantha Powell and husband, Matt; Michelle and Katie Sullivan; two great-grandchildren: Steele and Jacob Powell; sister, Joan Pearce, Smyrna, South Carolina.

The family will receive friends at the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, with a Rosary Service following at 8 p.m.

Her funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 4, at St. Jude Catholic Church, Father Charles Burton officiating.

Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Catholic Church, 930 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, Tn. 37415, or Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, Tn. 37416.

The family thanks Marianne’s caregivers, Leah, Cindy, Star, Father Art, Dr. Rader, Sheriron, and longtime caregiver, Scarlet Nolan, for their compassionate care.

Lloyd “Sonny” Herbert Lively II, 53, of Soddy Daisy, died on Saturday, May 25, 2013. Woman Killed In Early-Morning Wreck On Thrasher Pike

A woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash in the 1200 block of Thrasher Pike early Saturday morning. Soddy Daisy Police Chief Phillip Hamrick said a female passenger was ejected from the vehicle. City May Move Forward On $47 Million Wilcox Tunnel Project

City officials may move forward on a $47 million project to upgrade the narrow Wilcox Tunnel through Missionary Ridge. The City Council on Tuesday is to consider a resolution to apply for a $25 million federal TIGER grant. The city would still have to come up with $21,825,000 through "local funds or grants."
