Mickey Ray Sprayberry, 70, of LaFayette, Georgia, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 

He was born in Chickamauga, to the late Ray Roland and Ruby Pauline Parham Sprayberry. 

He was the owner/operator of Country Side Inn and Country Side Impressions in Rock Springs, Ga. He was a member of Old Bethel Baptist Church in Chickamauga where he enjoyed playing the guitar for the past twelve years. 

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Dennis Richard Sprayberry. 

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margarette Lemeral Padgett Sprayberry, their children, Cindy Lemeral Woodyard of Hagerstown, Md., Mickey Ray Sprayberry, Jr., of Cartersville, Ga., Michael Darrell and Candice Sprayberry of Chickamauga, Farrell Wayne; Gina Sprayberry of Ringgold; sisters, Mira Sue Bradley, Patricia Snodgrass, Janie Faye Teeters, Martha Renee Brown and Catherine Yvonne Stose, all of Chickamauga; brothers, James Walter Sprayberry, Virgil Labron Sprayberry both of Chickamauga, Thomas Eugene Sprayberry of LaFayette; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 3, from 3-9 p.m., and Friday morning until the funeral. 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 4, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Pastors Steve Camp and Bill Casteel and David Williams officiating. Burial will follow at LaFayette Memory Gardens, LaFayette. 

Arrangements are by W. L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Homes – Fort Oglethorpe.
