Sheila Florence Winans Conner, 70, died on May 1, 2012.
Born Dec. 9, 1941, in Parkersburg, W.V., she was a lifelong resident of Wood County, growing up in Washington, W.V., graduating from Parkersburg Hugh School in 1959, and residing nearly 50 years in South Parkersburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Irene Winans, mother and father-in- law, Clifford and Beulah Conner.
Sheila was an active member of Camden Avenue church of Christ in Parkersburg, due to her love for Christ, and she supported many other churches. She will be greatly missed by all those she met.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Ralph Hershel Conner, brothers, Dale Winans, Jr., Gary Winans, sister, Linda Deem and six children; Ralph (Mary Ann) Conner, Jr., Walker, W.V.; Sharon Anita Conner, Conover, N.C.; Michael and his wife, Kim, of Chattanooga; Robert Shane (Kristianna Conner, Centerville, Ohio; Phillip (Maria) Conner; Sheila also leaves behind a granddaughter that she raised as a daughter, Jessica Conner (Zac); as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; She also leaves behind a large extended family of loved ones.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 19, at 10 a.m. at Camden Avenue church of Christ.
