Zella Mae Tallant, 91, died on Wednesday, May 2,2012.

She was an awesome mother, granny, and great-granny. Her passion in life was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a very caring and compassionate woman who was always ready to extend a helping hand to those in need.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Robert and Emma Martin; Brothers, Earl Martin, Robert Martin; sister Ethel Bailes, husbands, James McCormick, Alfredo Lezon, and Ralph Tallant; daughter, Deloris McCormick and son, James McCormick, .Jr.

She is survived by her sister, Laura Jean Wood; daughter, Sandra (Bill) Clark; sons, Larry (Lucy) Lezon, Paul (Mary Lou) Lezon; grandchildren, Wendy Summit, Lacey Lezon, Cindy Carter, Dawn Davis, Michelle Morgan, Paul M. Lezon, Kevin Lezon; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Bradley, Jack, Savannah, Madison, Nicole, Kiley, Isaac, Nadia, Aidan, Phayden, Anna, and Elliott.

Entombment services will be held at noon on Saturday, May 5, at Lakewood Memory Gardens East with Father Jim Vick officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, May 4.

The family would like to especially thank Lori, Sheila and Michelle at Hospice of Chattanooga and a very dear neighbor, Tracey Burton.
