Jim McKerchie, 71, of Riceville, Tn., died Saturday, April 28, 2012 at his home. 

He was employed with H & K South Construction Co. and was of the Baptist faith. Jim was a member of the Sault Ste Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy McKerchie. 

Survivors include his wife, Joyce McKerchie of Riceville; mother, Jean McKerchie of Mt. Morris, Mich.; sons, Barry McKerchie, Troy McKerchie and Brian McKerchie; daughters, Rhonda McKerchie, Dawn Perez, Dinelle Grant and Michelle McKerchie Lunsford and husband Michael; step-daughters, Michelle Whaley, Melissa Whaley King and husband Martin, Amanda Whaley and husband Clinton Hullender; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Judy Gilkes and husband Ed and Neva Rosa; brother, Bob McKerchie and wife Rose; and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Sorah officiating.

His family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 2 at the Fike Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.


Heuser, Valetta Jean (Rock Spring)
