Monday, May 21, 2012

Officers from the Red Bank Police Department responded to 305 Valley View Ave., apartment 16, at approximately 4:40 a.m. Monday, to investigate a reported home invasion and aggravated robbery.

The victims, John and Jennifer Hendrix, reported that Mr. Hendrix opened the door to the residence after someone knocked on the door and was confronted by three, masked and gloved African-American males, one armed with a shotgun. Upon entering the apartment, Mr. Hendrix was bound and gagged before the suspects ransacked the residence and fled with various electronics, credit cards, cash, and other personal items. Mrs. Hendrix was ordered to stay lying face-down in her bed but was not bound or gagged during the ordeal and neither reported any injuries as a result of the incident.
