Charles C. Friberg, 96, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on Sunday, May 20, 2012 in a local health care facility.  

He was born Aug. 8, 1915, in El Paso, Tex., to the late Harold and Vida Friberg. 

Mr. Friberg was a member of First Baptist Church and the Challengers Sunday School Class. He was very active with the church, in working with Habitat for Humanity in the construction of several homes.

His daughter, Sally Pofelski, and grandson, Christopher Friberg preceded him in death. 

Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Rosemary Friberg; one son, David Friberg of Chattanooga; and three grandchildren, Lori Johnson, Karl Friberg, and Kevin Friberg. 

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 25, at noon, at Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church with Dr. Joe Novenson, Reverend Brian Salter, and Dr. Thomas Quisenberry officiating.  

The family will receive friends prior to the service in the church reception room from 11 a.m.–12 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Organ Fund at Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church, 316 North Bragg Avenue, Lookout Mountain, Tn. 37350.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn.
