After two home invasion style aggravated robberies early Monday morning at 5750 Lake Resort Dr. in Chattanooga and 305 Valley View Ave. in Red Bank, officers from the Red Bank and Chattanooga Police Departments conducted a joint investigation which resulted in the arrest of three people.

Gary Leon Jones, 19, of 4704B Metro Park Lane, and Maurice Allen Lansden, 19, of 702 Snow Road, were arrested, along with a male juvenile.  They were all charged with two counts each of aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, aggravated kidnapping and theft over $1,000.

In addition to the arrests, officers recovered a weapon used in the robberies and a significant amount of stolen property from these and other crimes.

All three people were taken into custody without incident.

Red Bank Police Chief Tim Christol said at approximately 4:40 a.m. today, officers from the Red Bank Police Department responded to 305 Valley View Avenue, apt. 16, to investigate a reported home invasion/aggravated robbery.

The victims, John and Jennifer Hendrix, reported that Mr. Hendrix opened the door to the residence after someone knocked on the door and was confronted by three, masked and gloved black males, one armed with a shotgun.

Upon their entering the apartment, Mr. Hendrix was bound and gagged before the suspects ransacked the residence and fled with various electronics, credit cards, cash, and other personal items.

Mrs. Hendrix was ordered to stay lying face-down in her bed but was not bound or gagged during the ordeal. Neither reported any injuries as a result of the incident.

On Monday at approximately 1:25 a.m., three black males entered the residence of 5750 Lake Resort Dr. armed with a handgun and robbed a 35-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman.  The trio ransacked the residence and stole numerous items before they fled the scene.
