Evelyn Rogers
Evelyn Mae Rogers, 76, of Harrison, Tennessee, passed away Monday, May 21, 2012.
She was the daughter of the late John and Lillie Mae Smith.
Evelyn retired from Duracell International Inc., in Cleveland, Tn. and attended East Chattanooga Church of God.
She loved to read and shop but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her three children, Sandy Rogers, of Harrison, Cindy (Jim) Smith, of Ooltewah, Mary (Perry) Carr, of Bruce, Ms., four grandchildren, Lauren (Kenny) Turpen, Travis Smith, Matt Simmons, Blake (Katy) Simmons, and sister, Katherine Anderson, of Mi., several cousins, nieces and nephews, and her good buddy, “Cozzie.”
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Smith officiating. Burial will follow in New McDonald Cemetery in Ooltewah.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
