First Things First Offers Classes On Relationships

First Things First offers Work Smart, Live Well, a free relationship skills class designed to help participants release their potential at home and in the workplace.   

Topics covered include:
Good communication & conflict resolution strategies
The secrets of effective interviewing techniques
Resume writing tips
Dressing for success
Workplace etiquette and much more

It is estimated that $6 billion is lost annually by American businesses due to decreased productivity stemming from marriage and relationship difficulties (Marriage & Familiy Wellness: Corporate America's Business?, Forthofer, Markman, Cox, Stanley and Kessler, 1996).  When people have healthy families and relationships at home, the result is a more productive and successful workforce.

First Things First will also offer a new series of free classes to help parents learn or enhance these skills to build strong, healthy relationships with their children.   

Building Blocks for Parents (For parents of infants and toddlers)- 
You don't have to dread the terrible two's or fearsome three's.  This class offers sound relationship techniques/skills to help you prepare your toddler for the coming years.

Rules to Raise Your Children By (For parents with elementary age children)-
There are proven relationship techniques that will help your family thrive.  This class for parents of elementary age children will help you master these skills.

Parenting in the Digital Age (For parents of tweens and teens)-
Are your kids in your face?  Are you ready to pull your hair out? If you’re the parent of a teen or tween, this class is for you.  Relationship skills covered include power and control issues, dealing with conflict, dating drama and how to avoid it, the proper use of technology and much more.

Classes are free but pre-registration is necessary.  Participants who complete this eight-hour class will receive a $50 Family Fun Pack (limit one per household).
