Lena Schultz Womack, 94, of Ooltewah, died on Monday, May 21, 2012.

Born in Knoxville to the late Franklin Lafayette and Dulah Mae Schultz, she had lived in the Chattanooga area most of her life. A member of Cross Roads Baptist Church in Ooltewah, Lena worked many years with her husband at Womack Sheet Metal and Roofing Company and was an avid gardener.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 58 years, Horace W. Womack, Sr.; sisters: Bessie Kate Womack, Stella Mae Settles, Margaret Rebecca Colston; brothers: William Edward Schultz, Franklin Lafayette Schultz, Jr., Paul Harvey Schultz and Robert Lee Schultz.

Surviving are her sons, H. Wilburn “Wil” (Pam) Womack of Brookhaven, Miss, and David A. (Jane) Womack of Hixson, Tn.; grandchildren, Michele Perrier of Claremore, Okla.; Angelia White of Kearney, Mo; Travis Joines of Winston-Salem, N.C.; Shane Womack of Hixson; Tanya Smith of Dalton, Ga; Benjamin Sulser of Tacoma, Wash.; Claire Sulser of Chattanooga; 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Turner Funeral Home, Highway 58 Chapel, from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 24, in Greenwood Cemetery, with the Reverend John Montgomery officiating.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Cross Roads Baptist Church, 9122 Ooltewah-Georgetown Road, Ooltewah, Tn. 37363.
