Arrant, Billie Daffron (Dalton)

Billie Daffron Arrant, 82, of Dalton, Ga., died Tuesday May 22, 2012 at her residence. 

She was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Wainwright Daffron; and was also preceded in death by her husband, James Arvel Arrant; son, Alan Arrant; sisters and brother, Vivian Stone, Rose Montgomery, LaVerne Williams and Joseph Daffron. 

Billie was a sales associate with J.C. Penny for 38 years. 

She is survived by her son and special friend, James D. Arrant and Beverly Gray both of Dalton; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Ed Jennings of Dalton; brother, Henry Daffron of Hudson, Fla.; grandchildren Gina Porter, Michael and Shelia Jennings; great-grandchildren, Blake Porter, Cam Jennings, Will Jennings and Georgia Jennings; a host of nieces and nephews; very special caregivers, Barbara Franklin, Michelle Hanson, Haley Hanson and Madison Hanson; and the caregivers from United Hospice of Calhoun. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 26 in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Alfred Turley and the Rev. Bret Yeager officiating. Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens. 

The family will receive friends at Love funeral Home Friday, May 25 from 5-8 p.m. 

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to United Hospice of Calhoun, 150 Warrior Path N.E. #2, Calhoun, GA 30701. 

Love Funeral Home, 1402 N. Thornton Ave., Dalton (across from Hamilton Medical Center) is in charge of arrangements.
