Hubert C. Ray, 94, of Hixson died on Wednesday, May 23, 2012.

He was a member of Teamsters Local 515.

Mr. Ray was preceded in death by his first wife of 59 years, Edna Louise Ray; brother, John E. Edwards.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Ray of Lupton City; daughter, Sue (Houston) Culver of Sale Creek; stepson, Charlie Dotson of Hixson; granddaughter, Tracy Culver and her husband, Clifton McCormick; great-grandson, Ian Grant McCormick.

Graveside services and interment will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, in Hamilton County Memorial Park with Charles Carney officiating.

Dog Fighting Operation Uncovered On Talladega Avenue

TBI was executing a narcotics search warrant at 6302 Talladega Ave. in Chattanooga on Friday and uncovered a dog fighting operation. City May Move Forward On $47 Million Wilcox Tunnel Project

City officials may move forward on a $47 million project to upgrade the narrow Wilcox Tunnel through Missionary Ridge.
