Glenda “Pokey” Painter, age 64, of Ringgold, Ga., diedThursday, May 24, 2012 at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe & Bonnie Presley; brother, J. R. Presley.
She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. Clyde Painter of the residence; sons and daughters-in-law, Tim & Cheryl Painter of Rising Fawn and Jeff & Barbie Painter of Rossville; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Charlene Lawless of Dalton and Mary Lynn & Ray Sane of Tunnel Hill; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Sam Presley and Ralph & Judy Presley, all of Dalton; grandchildren, Isaac Painter, Jessica Painter, Bailey Painter, Wesley and Luke Boyd; great-grandchild, Cailey Painter; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service to honor the life of Glenda “Pokey” Painter will be held Saturday, May 26, at 2 p.m. at Lakeside Baptist Church with Rev. Lillard Stringer and Rev. Clifford Chambers officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Gardens in Ringgold.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 25 from 5-9 p.m. at the Westside Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.
