Eunice Elgin Carden, 86, of Rossville, died on Saturday, May 26, 2012.  

She was born in Iva, S.C., and was a 1944 graduate of Anderson Girls’ High School.  Eunice met the love of her life who was a Chickamauga boy attending Clemson University, Leo D. Carden.  

They married and moved back to Chickamauga and then Rossville and had three children, Carolyn (Keith) Bobo, Donald (JoAnn) Carden, and Neil (Jane) Carden; four grandchildren, Angela Davis, Tim (Jenna)  Bobo, Matthew Carden, and Rachel Carden; five great-grandchildren, Savannah, Andrew, Johnathan, Ryann, and Ariel. 

Eunice was a dedicated Christian who taught Sunday School from toddlers to older adults for about 50 years. She had been a  member of East Ridge and Spring Creek Church of God for 60 years.   

Eunice had worked as a  bookkeeper for various credit unions including Red Food Stores. 

Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Bennie Mills and Reverend Wendell Smith officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
